Types of Rocketry
You can either prefer to make your rockets fly with Experimental-Rocketry, or you can prefer to buy stuffs from scientific hobby stores to start making and flying rockets with Model Rocketry or if you are big with pockets then you can go all the way to advanced High-Power Rockets. All types of Rockets have their own excitement, enthusiasm and skill involved.
Make Rockets Fly with Experimental Rocketry
As the name suggests, in this type, you design and construct rockets entirely from “scratch”. This makes this facet of Rocketry one of the most challenging and exciting type enriched with lots of fun and learning. Most components including motor and propellant have to be self-made. The goal here is to design, build, test and launch rockets where rockets may just refer to the motor itself or to a complete rocket assembly consisting of motor, fuselage, stabilizing fins, nose-cone and payload.
Few challenges involve developing and building safe, reliable and predictable motors, developing a recovery system, such as parachute deployment, that operates with a high degree of reliability under the demanding conditions of launch followed by high speed or high altitude flight. Striving to achieve these goals (and many others) and to overcome the inevitable obstacles, is what makes this such a challenging (and at times frustrating) and educational pastime, and one that requires diversified skills combined with a good dose of ingenuity. The outcome of all this, more often than not, is that one learns to genuinely comprehend that which is colloquially known as Rocket Science.

Parents love to teach their children new exciting hobbies that will challenge them to think and use their imagination. Advance to High Power Rocketry
This type of rockets start where model rockets leave off. This is because, these are model rockets on a larger scale with projects that are only limited by your inspiration and bank account. Also, there are restrictions on how and where you fly these rockets. This type encompasses the largest rocket you may build with commercially manufactured motors. These motors range from “H” through “O” and even higher sizes. These rockets generally weigh from a few pounds up to a hundred pounds or more and can fly up to 25,000 feet (and even higher). The motors may require government licensing to purchase or posses and can only be flown at organized club launches held in underpopulated areas of large open space. These restrictions make it a not-so-popular option especially in India.
High-power rockets are the largest and most challenging rockets which fly on pre-manufactured motors and appeal to those who like large rockets and enjoy the impressive flights with the larger, more powerful and more expensive motors. More advanced materials and techniques are required for high-power rockets because of the dramatically more powerful motors.
